If you can, have bookshelves in your children’s bedrooms, too. Keep reading together. Just because your children are older, it doesn’t mean you have to stop sharing stories – perhaps you could try the Harry Potter series or A Series of Unfortunate Events. Don’t panic if your child reads the same book over and over again. Even the most sheltered child is bound to hear a swear word at some point. If you’re lucky, he will never repeat it. But the fact is that most children do use a curse word at some point. If you take it in stride, you may never hear it again. And if you do, a calm explanation of why it is inappropriate could nip your child’s swearing in the bud.

The back of the book summed it up perfectly for me: ""Can I Touch Your Hair? is a compelling portrait of two youngsters dancing delicately through a racial minefield.""-J. Patrick Lewis, former US Children's Poet Laureate I also enjoyed it because it was easy to relate to the poetry, from the touching of his hair to praising a blonde hair, blue /5().   Your kids can hear George Strait read them a book about dinosaurs The "King of Country" will read a children's book Tuesday live on Gov. Abbott's Facebook page. Author: Jim Hice.

You can give the actual book as a gift and provide a link to your recording for the child to follow along. This is the cost effective way to achieve the goal of ‘reading’ from afar. The downside is that your recording will continue whether or not the child turns the page.   Unfortunately, there is very little practical advice available about children who hear voices that addresses your needs as parents and family members, this is a shame because you are the most important form of support to your child. So, we wanted you to know that there are some simple common sense things that you can do to help your child.
