Georgia is proud of the benefits available to veterans in the state. This ebook provides an overview of state benefits available to Georgia's veterans. LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — One of Georgia’s largest counties has created a special jail unit just for military veterans. “The Barracks” is aimed at giving veterans.

A new housing unit within the Gwinnett County Jail in Georgia is aiming to provide military-veteran inmates with additional resources to help them transition back into society upon their release. Veterans rated 20 percent or more are limited to the 10 percent disability rate.

For a Veteran whose disability rating is 10 percent, the payment is reduced by one-half.
